Muslims Need a Sanity Clause

By John W. Lillpop

For a religion of medieval fanatics that crash airplanes into buildings, decapitate the heads of those with whom they disagree, and train their children to blow themselves up in order to wipe out infidels, Muslims seem overly sensitive.

In the latest bizarre story about Islamic insanity, Muslims are in a snit about remarks made by Pope Benedict XVI.

The Pope was simply giving voice to the truth when he seemed to say the concept of jihad was "unreasonable" and quoted a medieval ruler who said Muhammad's innovations were "evil and inhuman.” Go here:

Those papal remarks have the “Islam World” in riot mode just like a few innocuous cartoons did earlier this year.

It appears that any criticism of the Muslim faith or any of its leaders, even when measured and civil, will prompt large scale rioting, fiery speech, and violence.

How much longer will the sane world tolerate this fanatical faith that celebrates death over life? When will western civilization drop the PC platitudes and admit that Islam is a major, serious threat to humanity that must be dealt with before it is too late?

Muslims obviously do not believe Jesus Christ to be God, nor do they celebrate His birth and Christmas.

Even so, Muslims need to add a sanity clause to the Koran. Without it, Islam will never be a genuine "Religion of Peace."

John W. Lillpop is a recovering liberal.
