Before the Sunday night airing of “The Path to 9/11” by ABC, Democrats had gained enough momentum to make a legitimate bid at taking over control of the U.S. House due to the November election. The numbers were tight but were definitely “trending in favor of the Democrats,” according to several published reports.
The big question in advance of Part II of the miniseries is this: Can the truth in “The Path to 9/11” provide enough of a “bump” to keep Republicans in majority status?
Thus far, “The Path to 9/11” seems to show that the Clinton administration was inept at best and dangerously preoccupied at worse. However, is that message resonating with Americans in the “likely to vote” category?
Other important questions are: Because Bill Clinton is no longer in office, could he be vulnerable to civil and or criminal charges based on dereliction of his constitutional duties while president? Could the 9/11 survivors file a class-action suit against the Clintonistas based on “The Path to 9/11?”
Most Americans do not have the stomach for a drawn-out, criminal, or even civil trial of Slick Willie and the Clintonistas.
Still, just the thought of Slick, Madeline Albright, Sandy Berger, Bruce Lindsey and all the other Clintonistas in pin stripes brings joy to this conservative’s old black heart!
