The Pelosi House Votes on Impeaching W
Satire By John W. Lillpop
After Democrats resorted to blatant fraud in order to manipulate a key vote in the U.S. House on August 2, wary Republicans had better be prepared for any eventuality should a bill of impeachment against W makes it to the floor for a vote.
A likely scenario for that vote in a Nancy Pelosi House might go something like this:
* Michael R. McNulty gavels the House to order and instructs members to begin voting
* To the music of "Jeopardy" the vote proceeds. Yea is a vote for impeachment, Nay is a vote against.
20 Yea, 10 Nay
115 Yea, 100 Nay
115 Yea, 115 Nay
Speaker Pelosi Sends Text Message to McNulty
GAVEL SOUNDS
Vote Continues
115 Yea, 150 Nay
GAVEL SOUNDS AGAIN
McNulty screams ORDER! ORDER!
McNulty catches the eye of Pelosi. She nods in the affirmative
McNulty announces that the final vote is Yeas 300, Nays 135
McNulty announces that W has been impeached by the U.S. House
Pelosi leaps for joy in the gallery and flashes the V sign all around
Democracy in action under the leadership of Nancy Pelosi: Ain't it wonderful?
