Will Senator-elect Jim Webb Defy Liberal Extremists?
John W. Lillpop
Although conservatives would not admit it, the fact is that Jim Webb may not be that great a disaster for conservatism. In fact, Webb may be a stronger ally of conservatives than RINOs like Bill Frist, Chuck Hagel, Arlen Specter, and others.
See story about Webb being a Maverick.
Clearly Senator-elect Webb from Virginia is not likely to be boxed around by intellectual lightweights like Harry Reid. Webb is his own man, and is definitely to the right of center on nearly all issues.
His views on illegal immigration are especially welcome, since Webb seems to understand the devastating impact that third-world criminals from Mexico are inflicting on America. He seems willing to help stop the illegal invasion.
In that regard, Jim Webb is far more conservative that George W. Bush who has never met an illegal alien that he did not adore.
Perhaps the fiery Webb can help kill amnesty and inspire his Democrat and Republican colleagues to think "America First" when it comes to illegal aliens.
Doing so might even position Webb for bigger and better things in 2008—how about Jim Webb for president?
Wouldn’t it be refreshing to have a real conservative in the Oval Office for a change?
